The author brings forward the life and career stories of characters such as economists, artists, analysts, IT experts, specialists of communication, marketing, PR, trainers, speakers, professors, engineers, etc. People who built their careers in Romania or abroad tell us about their lives, and about choices they made both at turning points, and in their daily lives; about the battles they won and the defeats they acknowledged; about the essential things that have contributed to their stories; about how they created “personal brands” for themselves; and about their expectations, targets and strategies.
In career, as in life, there are no universal recipes for success. Without explicitly claiming to offer any such recipes, the book’s characters could be perceived as models by “the youth of our days”, who are so eager to ask questions. Each story includes seeds of wisdom, life lessons and career recommendations which might fill out the student’s lack of experience on the labor market and in “the school of life”.
At the conclusion of the interviews, the author drafted an outline of the competencies that can lead to success, and challenged her readers to also answer the questions of her survey.
