The purpose of the present work is to investigate the possible relationships between emotional intelligence and the concept of job satisfaction, building on the views known to date, and adding further value.
Thus, in the first part, the concepts of human intelligence, emotional intelligence and the most known models of emotional intelligence and its measurement are presented, then the models of job satisfaction and the methods of measuring job satisfaction are analysed.
The development of the higher education system in Romania is presented, the structure of current education in Romania and in other European countries, especially higher education, is discussed.
The student-teacher interaction is enhanced by the traits and emotions on which the exchanges are built. During the literature search, several studies were consulted that highlight correlations between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction on the one hand, and the relationship between emotional intelligence and performance in learning/education processes on the other.
