Understanding financial, commercial and legal documents in a globalised world

This book is mainly addressed to students in economics (undergraduate and graduate studies), as well as to young professionals employed in international trade and banking fields, but also to teachers/trainers who teach specialized languages.

The work is structured in two sections, a theoretical part and an applied one. Emphasis is laid on turning to good account the knowledge and skills acquired by students in practice, by offering bilingual models of financial and banking documents and contracts used in international trade, constituting a useful instrument both in the academic and professional environment. The section on vocabulary presents specific structures of financial, international trade and legal language, thus enabling the user to compare the English and Romanian variant used in the respective fields.

The volume also contains a set of appendices containing helpful information on terminology, as well as a well-documented glossary of financial and commercial terms.
