“Civilisation, culture, management. The theory of international comparative management”, fourth edition, volume 1 and “Civilisation, culture, management. The practice of international comparative management”, fourth edition, volume 2, published by the Bucharest Academy of Economic Study Publishing, form a single new academic work, destined primarily to the students who intend to pass the bachelor degree exam and study the “International comparative management”.
This new edition may be equally recommended to the management experts, who work in intercultural, multicultural or trans-cultural contexts (from an ethnic, religious, ideological, even political points of view), contexts which require, for the successful development of their day to day activities, a detailed knowledge of the cultural particularities of the economic and geographic areas in which the companies where they work are based.
The readers who are searching for a cultural, historical, anthropological and social challenge may gather significant, novel, pertinent information regarding the connection area between two concept categories, on one side the civilisation and culture and, on the other side, the international comparative management.
Unlike the former edition (the third, published in 2016), the present edition offers a new and modern working tool for the students, experts and readers, through the (almost) complete separation of the theoretical part, tightly bound to the civilisation and culture and the international comparative management concepts, in the volume 1, and the unification of the practical, research part, based on the author’s personal experiences, in the second volume. Thus, the titles of the 15 chapters are identical in the two volumes, but their content is profoundly different, in relation with the author’s intentions.
