The anniversary of 60 years of the Romanian-Tunisian diplomatic relations represents a great success with economic, academic and social implications. This book marks this festive moment and presents in parallel the history of the two countries, identifying similarities in their development patterns, and also finds an interesting aspect: one Grand Vizier of Tunisia is of Moldovan origin, thus strengthening even better the relations between these countries. Mainly, this book is about diplomacy, politics, trade and cultural relationships between Romania and Tunisia.
This book represents the cumulative efforts of three experts who researched primary sources, bringing together archival documents and interviews with personalities. The documents from the archive of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as those from the National Council for the Study of Security Archives proved to be surprisingly interesting. We hope that The Monograph of Romanian-Tunisian relations. 60 years of diplomacy will contribute to the development of a new strategic approach to the future Tunisian-Romanian cooperation, in order to promote and intensify bilateral relations in several fields, especially political, economic and socio-cultural, educational and scientific.
