Operating Systems

The book "Operating Systems", submitted to the richest collection of ASE Publishing House, the collection of "Informatics", deals with the field of operating systems, depicting concepts, structures and specific mechanisms of organization and functioning of operating systems in general.

The book presents the basic features of UNIX and Windows NT/2000/XP. Special attention is given to the author of UNIX / Linux.

The paper is structured into three parts. The first part, including Chapters 1, 2, presents the general concepts on the structure and functioning of operating systems, and general technics of operating systems. Part Two (Chapters 3-8) presents the UNIX operating system, and Part Three (Chapters 9-11) is dedicated to the Windows operating system.

The book is addressed especially to students, but also those interested in operating system.
