The book “Intelligent informatics systems for decision making assistance in low predictability environment” is the result of research conducted by the team of authors in the field of informatics systems with applications in renewable energy management.

The research was conducted between 2010 and 2013 under the contract research Informatics solutions for assisting decision making process in uncertain environment and less predictable evolution in order to integrate into the grid, the competition PN2-TE, Human Resources, Code 332.

The main objective of the project was to develop an informatics prototype for data integration and analysis that come from wind power plants (WPP) for prediction of generated energy of renewable sources and for decision making assistance taken at the WPP level.

Decision-making process in this area is faced with a multitude of heterogeneous information sources and a number of less predictable or unpredictable factors and it needs a more accurate substantiation of strategies and decisions.

The book presents a series of case studies related to the authors’ research, providing practical solutions for data integration, data-mining and development of business intelligent systems using Oracle technologies. The book is divided into four sections, following the development cycle of the informatics systems: system analysis, design, development and implementation of the software prototype.
