Economic approach in environmental protection

The book deals with economic issues in environmental economics and environmental context, insisting on its role in global politics. Structured in eight chapters, the book treats: aspects of environmental policy (components, concepts, tools, EU position adopted at the Johannesburg Conference); environmental costs (human capital, different methods of evaluation of damage and environmental benefits); concept of economic accounting - Integrated Environmental; why is it necessary to include the environment in the national accounts; elements of waste managament; legal and institutional status of funds for the environment (role and relevance); environmental costs in evaluating economic performance; economic instruments to promote conservation and sustainable use of resources.
In Annex book you can find the environmental regulations, adopted in Romania by 1990, a list of risky chemicals marketed by producers and importers, except those used for making medicines, and a list of hazardous chemicals marketed by producers and importers, but used in agriculture.
