This book is written for undergraduate and master students that want to prepare for a teaching career but also for trainers that work in the adults education field. It can also be a useful read for parents and other people interested in the topic of adolescents and adults education.
The book has two major parts, one which analyses the adolescent years and another regarding adults, and comprises fifteen chapters that focus each on a specific topic specific to its subjects.
It includes a descriptive listing of the elements that are specific to the age segments under discussion, but also attempts to interpret these from multiple angles. Thus, one can find topics that touch upon the psychology of adolescence years, but also upon youth, adulthood and senior ship.
Ample space is given to the problems of adolescents: their learning characteristics, the characteristics of educational programs that target them, the issues of cultural diversity, development of creativity, educational and professional guidance. This multi-aspect approach to adolescents is something new within the segment of literature devoted to this age and helps the reader build a complex image of this age.
The part regarding adulthood also uses a complex approach. It similarly describes the adult learning characteristics, characteristics of education programs that target them, guidelines for developing such programs, trends that govern European adult education programs, and an analysis of the system currently implemented in Romania.
Also included are interesting analyses of parents education as a component of adult education programs, an analysis of „educogen” bonds that are created within families, recommendations regarding parents education and suggestions on organizational formats.
