This book provides a theoretical breviary in order to ensure a correct understanding of the fundamental macroeconomic concepts along with an overview of the main types of neo-Keynesian models through which an economist can explain the links between the main macroeconomic indicators. Moreover, macroeconomic modelling and the use of specific economic models, such IS-LM and IS-LM-BP will help explain the effects of the government policies (that are mostly decisions upon the level of government expenditure and taxes) as well as the monetary policies (targeting money supply and bonds) on total revenue and employment in general. Through various numerical examples, the authors have illustrated, among other aspects, the effects of prices and aggregate income, total production, employment and government and trade deficits.
