ACCOUNTING AND MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Accounting and Management Information Systems is quarterly issued since 2002 by the Faculty of Accounting and Management Information Systems in partnership with the „Babes-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca, West University of Timisoara and „A.I. Cuza” University of Iasi.

The journal aims to develop accounting knowledge and to increase the visibility of the Romanian research through promoting national and international dialogue. The journal is included by CNCSIS in B+ category since 2007, and is indexed in Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory since 2008.

The journal publishes original theoretical and empirical studies of the highest scientific quality, on topics in the following areas: Accounting and Financial Reporting; Accounting and Management Control; Auditing and Controlling; Management Information Systems; Financial Analysis; Law.
 It is a scientific journal and is firstly intended for the use of researchers.

The Editorial Board is composed of renowned academics such as Prof. David Alexander of the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom), Prof. Alain Burlaud of INTEC Paris (France), Prof. Robert Faff of Monash University (Australia), Prof. Allan Hodgson of the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Prof. Alan Lord of Bowling Green State University (USA), Prof. Marc Nikitin of the University of Orléans (France), Prof. Bernard Raffournier of the University of Geneva (Switzerland), Prof. Donna Street of Dayton University (USA), Prof. Lee Yao of Loyola University (USA).

Starting 2009, the international visibility is increased by the publication of the abstracts of our journal’s papers in the esteemed International Journal of Accounting Information Systems, published by Emerald and indexed in Emerald Management Xtra database.
