Database Systems Journal was founded in 2010 in Economic Informatics and Cybernetics Department, within Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

This is an open-access, peer reviewed and indexed journal, available online, continuously presenting the results of original research or development across all database fields of interest.

Database Systems Journal publishes articles that are of high interest to readers focused on the following topics: database systems, big data, big data analytics, data mining, information systems, data science, machine learning, internet of things.

The journal is published with the support of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and ASE Publishing House.
